
Sir Paul Chukwuma, the former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his determination to challenge the incumbent governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, in the 2025 governorship election if the APC grants him the ticket.
As one of the founding fathers of the party in Anambra, Sir Paul Chukwuma pledged to elevate the APC to unprecedented heights, surpassing all other political parties in the state and the entire South-East geopolitical zone.
He made these declarations during a consultative gathering with party leaders from the 326 wards, 21 local government chairmen, three Senatorial zonal working committees, and members of the state working committee, held in his hometown of Umueri, Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area.
During the meeting, chaired by the state party chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, Sir Paul Chukwuma affirmed his intention to vie for the Anambra governorship seat currently occupied by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
He outlined his strategies, including the organization of regular seminars and interactive sessions at all levels of party leadership. Additionally, he emphasized his commitment to providing unwavering support, financial resources, unparalleled motivation, and confidence to the APC, aiming for resounding victory in the forthcoming 2025 governorship election.
Sir Paul Chukwuma also announced significant contributions to the party infrastructure, including the donation of a new state secretariat, three zonal offices, and grassroots offices in all 326 electoral wards of Anambra State.
He stated, “The APC will no longer be marginalized in the state. I have established new offices and allocated funds for monthly meetings to facilitate constant communication among members. We must take pride in our party and distinguish ourselves with a unique uniform as members of the ruling national party.”
Accompanied by Chief Ralph Okeke, a member of the party’s Board of Trustees, State Chairman Basil Ejidike, Chief Ifeanyi Ibezi, Chinedu Elumuno, former members of the Federal House of Representatives, and other party leaders, Sir Paul Chukwuma distributed registration booklets for new members.
He emphasized the need for the APC to maintain its lead over other political parties in the state, ensuring a distinctive approach and prioritizing victory in the upcoming 2025 governorship election through regular seminars and training sessions for party leaders and members across the state.
In response, State Chairman Ejidike commended Sir Paul Chukwuma for his unwavering support and commitment to the party at all levels.
